Counselling is very much a talking therapy where sessions focus primarily on psychological or emotional needs and problems, where the counsellor is mainly facilitative rather than directive. The aim is to encourage empowerment, autonomy and to help clients develop their own insight, clarity and self-understanding.
Thoughts just going round and round in your head, don’t know how to focus and just getting more and more confused? It can really help to have someone to talk to, especially if you think you can’t talk to anyone in your family or friends.
Counselling is confidential, non-judgemental and may just be the thing that helps you find your way on to the right path.
